Chris is a treatment based therapist trained in many different specialty techniques in order to maximize the therapeutic outcome for each individual. He is deeply involved with the athletic and outdoor community and has built a reputation as an effective repetitive strain & sports massage therapist.
Graduating from Massage College in 1997, Chris is in his 20th year of work as a Massage therapist and uses this experience to first assess each patient individually before treating and believes that at the core of an effective treatment is finding the root cause of a problem.
Chris has completed 9 marathons (including a Boston Qualifier) as well as an Ironman. He has treated Olympic medalists and professional athletes. He has been a Learn to Run coach (with the BC Sports Medicine Council), a downhill Ski Instructor, a Personal Trainer, a Massage Therapy treatment trainer for the Banff Springs Hotel, a Health & Fitness Club Manager and a Spa Director before moving to Ottawa 9 years ago with his wife to raise 2 children.
Chris enjoys his chosen profession not only because he likes to help people but he likes the challenge of solving problems.
Conventional Massage techniques such as; Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release Techniques and specialty techniques such as; Active Release Techniques® (ART®), Therapeutic Ultrasound, Therapeutic Taping, TENS/IFC and Radial Shockwave Therapy are the tools used by Chris.
Chris has found a great deal of satisfaction in his career choice and welcomes new patients with recently expanded treatment hours.
